Well, we can hardly believe it. On 7th June at Warner Bros. Studios we were declared the best B&B in the country at the Visit England Excellence Awards, hosted by Alex Polizzi (which is basically 'The Oscars' of the tourist industry), after competing against 350 local winners across 16 competitions and 20 categories!). We are super proud and hope that you will want to experience Piglets for yourself.

A mention should go out to our fellow finalists – we all work tremendously hard to give our guests a fantastic stay and although it was Piglets night this year we are sure these two hard-working, family-run establishments will be duly rewarded in the future. So if you are heading towards Stockport, Sunnyside Guest House is the place to stay and a little further north in beautiful Cumbria, Cedar Manor will we are sure give you a lovely stay. It was a pleasure to meet both sets of owners at the awards ceremony.

Piglets has just won silver at the prestigious East of England Tourism Awards for 'Best B&B and Guest House of the Year' and now go forward to the nationals (see above latest news!)

Our lovely Saffron Walden newspaper, the Walden Local kindly gave us a whole page editorial to celebrate both our silver East of England Tourism award and Chrissie’s bronze medal in the World Marmalade Championships.

Going by what our lovely guests have said about Piglets has led to us being awarded Trip Advisor’s prestigious Travellers Choice Award for 2021, 2022 and again for 2023 after only being open barely 4 years (most of which was blighted by the pandemic) so we send our thanks to all who have stayed with us. This puts us firmly in the top 10% of the World’s hotels.

Piglets are very proud to announce that we have just received our 123rd 5 bubble review on Trip Advisor – we ONLY have 5 bubbles to date – something of a rarity.
